Why am I getting this type name and URL in my family?
This occurs when an IGS created family has been created to use a Type Catalog, but that Type Catalog has not been loaded correctly.
To insert types from the type catalog:
- In a Revit project or template, click Insert tab
Load From Library panel
(Load Family). - Navigate to the directory containing the family you want to open.
- Select the family (RFA file) to load.
- The Type Catalog Dialog displays.
- Select the types to be inserted.
- Select OK.
If you have not been supplied the Type Catalog .txt file with the Revit family, please contact us or the manufacturer to send it through.
